These you need to mention in your cover letter and/or resume. Some clients may hire you solely based on your resume and experience, while others may interview you on Skype or Zoom. There are also places online where you have to bid for the job. Most times the client will list the skills that you need to have when they post the job. Be sure to update your resume and have a great cover letter so clients will want to hire you.

According to Payscale, the average Virtual Assistant hourly pay is $15.80. If you are inexperienced you might be paid less and if you are an expert/ has years of experience, then you can negotiate and charge more. Most times the client will tell how much they are willing to pay to get the work done.

When you complete a job for a client they can leave reviews for you which is a great way to get new clients and build your portfolio.
